The registration for H-1B Visas for the fiscal year 2023 will be opened by US Citizenship and Immigration Services. The cap will open on March 1 at noon Eastern and close on March 18, 2022, at noon Eastern. The official H-1B registration system will allow interested petitioners and representatives to submit an online registration. On March 31, the final decision will be made public.

Candidates can apply for registration by paying a cost of ten dollars. Following the registration process, each candidate is given a number to use during the verification process. If the system reaches its capacity and additional applications are received, the winning candidates will be chosen using a random selection technique.

The procedure for submitting an application

According to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), prospective H-1B cap-subject petitioners or their representatives must use a myUSCIS online account to register each beneficiary electronically for the selection process and pay the $10 H-1B registration fee for each registration submitted on behalf of each beneficiary.

A “registrant” account will be used by prospective petitioners submitting their own registrations (U.S. employers and U.S. agents, collectively known as “registrants”). Beginning at noon Eastern on February 21, registrants will be allowed to create new accounts.

Representatives are free to add clients to their accounts at any time, but registrants and representatives must wait until March 1 to enter beneficiary information and pay the $10 registration cost.

In a single online session, prospective petitioners or their representatives would be able to register several beneficiaries. They will be able to prepare, update, and save draft registrations through the account prior to final payment and submission of each registration.
